Community Guidelines
Buzzin only works if neighbours can trust each other. These rules apply to everything on Buzzin — profiles, photos, posts, plans and messages — and to how you treat people you meet through Buzzin. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour: we remove content and accounts that break these rules, often without warning.
Be kind
No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech, slurs, or content that attacks people for who they are. No sexual content or sexual advances. Buzzin is for friendship, not dating.
Be yourself
Use your real first name, photos of you, and your own Instagram account. Don't impersonate anyone or use someone else's photos. Verification selfies must be of you, live.
Keep it safe
Meet out front or somewhere public. Hosting at home? Only approve people you've met or feel good about; your address goes only to the guests you approve, and you can remove anyone. Never put apartment numbers or door codes in plans, posts or favors, and never share other people's personal information. Don't follow, record or photograph neighbours without their consent.
Building chats are for neighbours
Your building chat is for saying hi, plans and help. For building issues (repairs, noise, packages, rent) contact your super or management. Don't use it to pile on a neighbour. Urgent asks are for real "need a hand now" moments, not everyday favors.
No spam or selling
No advertising, sales pitches, fundraising, MLM, or repetitive posts.
Nothing illegal
No illegal goods or services, drugs, weapons, violence, or content that exploits anyone. Content involving minors in any sexual or harmful context is reported to the authorities.
Report and block
Use Report on any profile, post, plan or message, or Block to stop someone seeing or contacting you. We review reports within 24 hours. Content reported by several neighbours is hidden automatically until we've looked at it. If you're in danger, call 911.
